Privacy Policy

RepDial is made by Synergistic Solutions Unlimited LLC. In short: we run no servers, there are no accounts, and we cannot see your data. RepDial has no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

What RepDial stores, and where

Apple Health

With your permission, RepDial:

You choose each permission separately and can change them any time in the Health app (your profile → Apps → RepDial). RepDial never uses Health data for advertising, marketing or data mining, never sells it, and never shares it with anyone. Nutrition estimates are saved to Health only after you confirm them.

Camera and photos

RepDial uses the camera only when you open a scanner, to read barcodes and nutrition labels and to photograph meals. When you pick an existing photo, Apple's photo picker gives RepDial only the photos you select. Images are analyzed on your device. Progress photos you add are stored only on this iPhone, are excluded from iCloud Backup, and can be locked behind Face ID.

Voice and motion

Voice logging listens only after you tap the mic, ask Siri, or finish a set with hands-free mode on. Speech is recognized on your iPhone and the audio is never stored or sent anywhere. Tempo Truth (beta, off by default) uses your Apple Watch's motion sensors during sets to measure rep timing. That motion data stays on your Apple Watch and iPhone and leaves only if you choose to export it.

Apple Intelligence

Some features, such as estimating a meal from a photo, use Apple's on-device Foundation Models. They run entirely on your iPhone and nothing leaves your device. When you import a routine from a photo or text and "Allow cloud processing" is on, RepDial may use Apple's Private Cloud Compute instead. Apple processes the request on its servers, keeps none of it, and the developer can't see it. Turn it off in the import screen to keep all processing on your iPhone.

Recipe links

When you import a recipe from a link, RepDial downloads that one web page directly from the site you chose, without cookies, to read its ingredients. The site sees a normal page request from your device.

Food databases

When you search for a food or scan a barcode, RepDial sends only the search text or barcode number to USDA FoodData Central (U.S. Department of Agriculture) and Open Food Facts (a non-profit open database). RepDial sends none of your health data, logs, name or device identifiers. These services receive your device's IP address as part of the connection and handle it under their own privacy policies. Open Food Facts data is available under the Open Database License; USDA FoodData Central data is public domain. Restaurant items are bundled in the app from public-domain datasets (USDA FoodData Central and MenuStat) and need no network.

What we don't do

If this ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your permission in the app first.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays until you delete it.

Because we hold no copy of your data, we can't access, export or delete it for you. Settings → Backup & restore → Export (JSON or CSV) gives you a full copy at any time.

Children

RepDial is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Security

Your data is protected by your device's encryption and, if you use iCloud sync, by Apple's iCloud security; workout and nutrition values are stored with CloudKit encryption. Apple Health data is encrypted on your device by iOS.

Not medical advice

RepDial is a fitness and nutrition logging tool. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Calorie, macro and portion estimates, especially from photos, can be wrong. Consult a doctor or registered dietitian before changing your diet or exercise, especially if you have a medical condition.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above, and for material changes we'll show a notice in the app. Questions or requests: email jwatson@thinksynergy.biz (Synergistic Solutions Unlimited LLC).
