FAQ
Do I need an account?
No. RepDial has no accounts or logins and works fully offline.
How does iCloud sync work?
If iCloud sync is on, your workouts, programs and food logs are stored in your personal iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit private database), so they stay in step across your devices. Only you can access that data. You can turn sync off at any time.
Where is my Apple Health data stored?
Body weight, body measurements and anything read from Apple Health stay on your device only. RepDial never copies them to iCloud. You can change Health permissions in the Health app (your profile, Apps, RepDial).
How do I export or back up my data?
Go to Settings, Backup & restore, Export (JSON or CSV) for a full copy at any time. RepDial also keeps automatic local backups on your device for about a week.
How do I delete my data?
Delete individual workouts, meals and weigh-ins in the app. To delete everything at once, go to Settings, Data & Privacy, Delete all data. It removes your workouts, meals, measurements, progress photos, Tempo Truth recordings, local backups and settings from this device, and deletes RepDial's data from your iCloud account. You can export a copy first. Uninstalling RepDial removes its on-device data; synced data stays in iCloud until you use Delete all data or remove it in iOS Settings, your name, iCloud, Storage, Manage Storage, RepDial, Delete Data. Delete all data does not change Apple Health: data RepDial wrote there stays until you delete it in the Health app.
Is voice logging private?
Yes. Voice commands use Apple's on-device speech recognition, so your audio is not sent anywhere and nothing is recorded or stored. The microphone opens only when you tap the mic, use Siri, or (if you turn it on) after a coached set, and closes when you stop talking. Turn voice commands on or off in Settings, Training.
How do I share a program with a friend?
On Today, tap the program name to open Programs, tap the program, then tap Share Program and choose Messages, AirDrop, Mail or Files. Your friend opens the file with RepDial, sees a preview and taps Add to my programs. The file contains the program only: no workouts, weights or personal data.
How do I build my own routine or program?
Open Programs from Today and create a program, then add days and exercises, or edit a program you already have. You can also change a workout while you are in it: reorder, remove or swap exercises.
Can I import a routine from another app or a spreadsheet?
Yes. In Programs, tap Import a routine. You can bring one in from a spreadsheet (CSV), pasted text, a photo, or a Strong or Hevy export. With “Use your own AI”, copy RepDial's prompt into any assistant, then paste its answer back. Imports are saved as an inactive program so you can review them first. If Apple Intelligence is available and “Allow cloud processing” is on, photo and text imports may use Apple's Private Cloud Compute; turn it off in the import screen to keep everything on your iPhone. See the Privacy Policy.
What is a quick workout?
On Today, tap Quick workout to start an empty session outside your program. It does not move your schedule. You can also start or join one from Apple Watch.
How do meal prep and the grocery list work?
Plan a dish across the week from Dishes and tick off servings on the Meal prep list. RepDial builds a grocery list from your planned dishes, and you can save lists.
How do I add a recipe from Safari?
In Safari, tap Share and choose Add to RepDial (turn it on under More if you do not see it). RepDial opens and offers to import the dish. It downloads that one page directly from the site to read the ingredients.
Are calories burned accurate for iPhone-only workouts?
They are estimates. When you train without an Apple Watch, RepDial estimates calories from your sets and saves that estimate to Apple Health. A Watch workout uses the energy measured by the Watch.
Where is the Help & Guide?
In the app, open Settings and tap Help & Guide. It has feature explanations, step-by-step how-tos, what's new, and ways to send feedback.
Does RepDial give medical advice?
No. It is a fitness and nutrition logging tool for general wellness. Talk with a qualified professional before starting a new exercise or nutrition program.
